Welcome to the King Vaughan Federal Liberal Riding Association (KVFLA)

The King Vaughan Federal Liberal Riding Association was formed in 2014 when new electoral districts were created to have an additional 30 Members of Parliament from across the country. The 2011 Census had necessitated this increase in the number of seats in Parliament.

In March of 2015 a contested nomination for the Liberal candidacy was held with Deb Schulte winning the nomination. Team Schulte was formed and throughout the summer and fall the volunteer base grew as we campaigned throughout the riding bringing the Liberal message of “Hope and Hard Work”. Deb worked tirelessly, knocking on thousands of doors in Maple, King City, Nobleton, and Schomberg. The result of our efforts paid off with a victory making Deb Schulte the first MP to represent King Vaughan.

The KVFLA is mandated with the task of promoting the message, activities, and policies of the Liberal party within the communities mentioned above. We have an excellent MP and party leader which inspires our efforts. KVFLA has a board of directors, a youth association and approximately 300 regular members. Our board meets once a month to direct and facilitate events held by the association. At present we have three committees which anyone is invited to join. These committees form the backbone of the volunteer work we do. We can be reached on our website, and facebook page. You can also follow us on twitter and instagram. You can also contact us by e-mail at
